Remarkable Renovation – James Island
We recently photographed a creekfront renovation on James Island for a young couple we’ve had the pleasure of working with over the last year. After moving in, they realized it was time to begin renovations to update the home to better fit their needs and tastes. Here’s a sneak peek of the finished product and some before & afters.
Kitchen renovation
[Before] To describe this view in one word – outdated.

[After] – Open and spacious, great for the foodies.

Solarium
[Before] Mostly sparse, especially after the Christmas decorations were removed.

[After] We love the contrasting reds and blues here. The pillow fabric was inspired by this chest, which was a Christmas gift for the couple.

This floral detailing led to opting for Clarence House’s flowering quince outlined in aqua for the pillows.

This glazed linen from Stroheim & Romin made beautiful window treatments.
Master Bathroom renovation
[Before] The Barney bathroom in signature 80’s mauve

Adrian’s custom design for the shower and bathroom floor.
[After] Bye bye, Barney

Italian bottocinni tile and river rock make for a very natural shower.

Master Window Treatment

These woven bamboo roman shades nestled against the panels make a striking focal point. Although not as striking as this amazing view from the master balcony.

Dining Room

Adrian designed this custom reclaimed barnwood dining table. Environmentally friendly and attractive!

Contrasting piping from Cowtan & Tout proves to be a simple way to enhance these upholstered parsons chairs.

LOVE this one ladies–esp. that bathroom sink! Great job. Do you know what paint color you used for the kitchen cabinetry? I am in the process of picking some colors out for a spec home Kittrell 2 is building and I like the look here. Thanks!

and…what’s the paint color in the kitchen? so soft and soothing but very coastal.

Thanks, Annie! The perimeter cabinets color was eggshell but that came from the cabinetry manufacturer. The kitchen wall color isKauai NA57 Ralph Lauren -Duration Home. Hope that helps!
