Interiors & Sources #2 LEED Project of Year in the Carolinas
While thumbing through a recent issue of Interiors & Sources, their #2 pick for LEED project of the year stopped us in our tracks. The design team for Proximity Hotel in Greensboro, NC did a fantastic job in creating an interior that’s not only chic and upscale, but environmentally friendly as well [LEED Platinum to be exact]. This just goes to show that “green” design does not equal bland or minimalistic, misconceptions we’ve heard before. The sleek lines of the furnishings blended with contrasting, rich tones create a stylish, yet classy metropolitan look, most suitable for this hospitality application.
Plus, it’s great to see a project from the Carolinas [even if it isn't South Carolina] chosen as #2 in this category from I&S. We’ll be sure to stop by and see it for ourselves the next time we drive through Greensboro on our way to market.
Here are our favorite interior shots, but we encourage you to see the photo tour for yourself here.
