January’s Link We Love: It’s That Time Again…
Pantone’s 2010 Color of the year is…turquoise! A beautiful blend of two of our favorite colors, blue & green.
”An inviting, luminous hue, as the color of the year for 2010. Combining the serene qualities of blue and the invigorating aspects of green, Turquoise evokes thoughts of soothing, tropical waters and a languorous, effective escape from the everyday troubles of the world, while at the same time restoring our sense of wellbeing.” – Pantone

Looks like Mary Mac of Allora Home was thinking ahead when she created this chair. What a great use of the color of the year.

What a fitting watery backsplash for a beach house. Even better, matching appliances.

Great!!! Where can i find a fireplace like this?

Glad you enjoyed the turquoise fireplace, Robert! We read that’s a vintage fireplace so your best bet would be to do some online research for vintage metal fireplaces. Hopefully that will lead you into the right direction. Also, if you know of a good workroom in your area, you could potentially reproduce this particular one if you provide the photo and the dimensions you need. Good luck! If you find one, we’d love to see how it turns out.
