You may recall previous posts on artists Hayley Gaberlavage and local Stacey Bradley of Perla Anne. Well, we’re thrilled to be using some of their work in a downtown media room wall series. These just arrived this week and we had the pleasure of meeting Stacey in person who dropped her peacock and eames chair prints by the studio. Here’s a peek at the the progress.

[Media room concept illustration] Our client wanted a fun, playful environment for watching movies and lounging that both he and his children would enjoy. The design choices were inspired by a piece of artwork [filled with bright, energetic hues] he recently received.

Works just in from Perla Anne & Hayley Gaberlavage that will be incorporated in the series. Both introduced to us by Style Court.

After reading Style Court’s post on the discovery of many unknown paintings by British modernist, Ivon Hitchens and the comparable features of Hitchens’ art with that of 21st century artist, Hayley Gaberlavage, we lingered on Gaberlavage’s website to admire her distinct and quirky designs.
Fusing together her passion for fashion, furniture, and art, Hayley pulls from all three driving forces to embody her signature style. Hailing from Alabama, Gaberlavage makes her rare skill look effortless. Her vibrant color sequence and unique stroke techniques and ability to amusingly capture & showcase everyday life in a uniquely interesting way set her apart.
After meandering through her work online, we still found ourselves wanting to know more. So we started a conversation with the Alabama artist, now residing in New Orleans, to get some insight into her work and inspiration.
