We were so excited when Mary Herbert at Charleston Style & Design contacted us for her Editor’s Picks in the current spring issue. We’re thrilled with the turnout and hope you’ll take a moment to read the excerpt with insights from principal designer, Adrian Sims Truluck, on pgs. 35 and 36 of their spring issue. PSI was recently mentioned in The Inside Source’s featured story The Green Scene. Our ceiling tile wall series was featured as a great way to incorporate every day items into wall decor. Be sure to read the full story here. Thanks for the mention, Marni!
“I always like to mingle vintage or antique objects into a room, especially if they are everyday objects. They have a unique sense of character and charm that you just can’t get from new pieces. The key is to train your eye to find the extraordinary in the ordinary.”
- Adrian Truluck, principal designer, on incorporating vintage finds within her work.

Thanks for the mention from CHARLIE, Charleston’s go-to online source for progressive culture and happenings. In the Winter Warm Up article they suggest surviving the winter with a Pine Cone Hill throw available at PSI, and we couldn’t agree more. We loved all of the local suggestions…you’ll definitely want to read them all.

We found this article online and had to share it with you. This gorgeous, open workspace blends comfort and function and from the ever-growing success of Spanx, increased productivitiy as well. Who couldn’t work here?
Clearly, the ladies at Spanx know how to make a girl happy in more ways than one. Below are a couple of our favorites shots of the workspace, but you’ll definitely want to see them all.

The winner of the 2010 Bloomingdale’s Big Window Challenge has finally been announced, and we love the results…
1st Place: ELLE DECOR

The Modern Woman, designed by Eddie Ross for ELLE DECOR
2nd Place: Apartment Therapy

The Writer’s Romantic Supper, designed by Maxwell Gillingham-Ryan
3rd Place: Bloomingdale’s

The Urbane Traveler, designed by Eileen Joyce
Thanks to all of our readers who weighed in on their favorites for our reader poll. Here’s what you voted for…
3rd Place: Apartment Therapy
The bold wallpaper of this room isn’t for everyone, but the funky style of this Apartment Therapy design placed 2nd in the Big Window Challenge.
2nd Place: ELLE DECOR
You loved the bright colors and ornate coffee table, but the influx of “stuff” in the room turned some of you away. This design by Eddie Ross is a mix of classic and modern meant for a modern woman. An appealing interior to appreciate, but from your comments, some would rather admire from a distance.
And Our Reader Winner Is… Bloomingdale’s
Most of you said you could picture this design by Eileen Joyce in your home, and we had a feeling this would be the winner. The simple, stylish New York City inspired room looks comfortable and inviting, a room that most of you said you picture yourself living in.
Comment below to let us know what you think of the results!

[Adrian Truluck, Allison Clark & Ivie Parker during the Festival of Wreaths]
The reasons to celebrate in 2010 keep coming. We’re delighted to have Allison join the PSI team as Studio Coordinator Intern. A recent graduate from Wake Forest and previous event-planning intern for local wedding planner Kristin Newman, Allison has a passion for interior design, impeccable taste and an urge to gain experience and knowledge within the industry. She’s been a wonderful addition thus far, and it never hurts to add a brunette into the mix.
