Adrian Truluck graduated from Converse College earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design and an Art History minor. Adrian furthered her education at the Santa Reparata International School of Art in Florence, Italy and her studies there and travels abroad enhanced her knowledge and experience in both industries. ASID member and past chair of ASID Carolina’s coastal design community, Adrian demonstrates experience with over 18 years in the industry and has acquired her NCIDQ certification. She ignited her career as an apprentice at the Osborne & Little designer showroom in New York followed by career opportunities at prestigious design firms in Columbia and Charleston, SC, where she further cultivated her design experience with projects ranging from new construction to full-scale renovation. Adrian delights in mingling the character of vintage pieces, for example detailed mantels with exquisite molding or refurbished chandeliers, with updated furnishings for an eclectic appeal, often inspired by her surroundings and clients’ belongings and pleasures. Though ever-evolving, she characterizes her style as “a combination of chic traditional with an updated edge.” Intricate fabrics, her favorite décor item, is typically the initial inspiration for every project, whether it’s bold, colorful prints, asian-themed scenes, funky geometrics, bohemian ikats, or airy neutrals, she adores them all and thrives on selecting the perfect fit for each client. Her unique finds with storied pasts nestled amongst clients’ possessions and complemented by sought-after furnishings culminate into a relished environment.
